HTC Desire HD / HTC Ace

The rumors began a few weeks ago about a follow-up device of the HTC Desire called the HTC Desire HD or HTC Ace.
Very recently this Android phone appeared in a Vodafone inventory system in Germany along with the HTC Desire Z (aka HTC Vision).

While the shape of the phone is almost the same, the specs are different from the current Desire.

HTC Desire HD aka HTC Ace is expected to ship with Android 2.2 Froyo, a 4.3-inch WVGA SLCD display, an 8 megapixel camera with 720p video recording, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 4GB internal memory extensible up to 32GB and Automatic Face Tracking.

The other Android phone spotted is the HTC Vision (aka HTC Desire Z), a physical QWERTY device.

Unofficial sources claim the phone will be released in October 2010, but no current word on whether we will see it in NZ.
